Sturdy and Convenient Cage
I originally bought this for a rat I rescued from a snake (which died anyway) and my boyfriend decided to buy chinchillas so we'd still have a use for it. We've been using this cage for about a year--the tray at the bottom and it having two latches makes cleaning it very easy. The chinchillas have never escaped the cage. It's a decent size for the two we have. Probably not good for mice or hamsters but definitely great for adult rats or chinchillas. Would definitely recommend.

Frustrating to put together but nice final product
This comes with a lot of plastic parts and is quite frustrating to put together. The instructions could be more clear and there were several typos. I figured it out after deciphering several steps repeatedly and it came together nicely, finally. The plastic clips and fasteners are weak, I was afraid of them breaking when I had to take them off and put them back on again but nothing broke. The end result was pleasing and our two lady rats are much happier to be in a bigger space. They cannot fit through the spacing of the cage. The tray at the bottom appears to make for easy cleaning but we havent had it long enough to need to clean yet. Its plastic with lots of big open holes so I put a piece of cardboard box along the bottom topped with bedding.
